The Blau & Berg Company, a prominent commercial real estate brokerage firm in the New Jersey and Tri-State area since 1932, recently arranged the lease of a +/- 14,000 SF 30-door terminal on 2.17 Acres on James Avenue in Jersey City.  Jason M. Crimmins, SIOR, CCIM, Alessandro Conte, SIOR, CCIM, Peter J. Murano, Jr., SIOR, and Michael F. Schipper, SIOR, of The Blau & Berg Company represented the owner, Brookfield Properties.  The new tenant is Staples, represented by Nicholas Klacik and Kevin Dudley of CBRE.

“In such an ultra-tight industrial market this was an exceptionally rare opportunity for Staples to find a top-flight, last-mile thirty-door terminal outside of Manhattan and Port Newark”, said Jason M. Crimmins, SIOR, CCIM, President of The Blau & Berg Company. “We were pleased to represent Brookfield Properties, and it was the ease of communications between Staples and Brookfield that made this happen. We were pleased to represent Brookfield in continuing to develop their portfolio with quality tenants”.

Kyle McGrady, Senior Associate, Logistics, of Brookfield Properties added, “This lease highlights the continuing appeal of New Jersey as an unparalleled logistics market. Through our extraordinary repositioning of the James Street property, it’s among the top transload facilities within close proximity to New York City.”
